A support FAQ can become stale without looking abandoned. The policy page changes. The product setting changes. The refund window, storage limit, trial behavior, or account deletion rule gets narrower. But the FAQ answer still has the older sentence, and because it is written in friendly support language, it keeps sounding trustworthy. The fix is not always a dramatic warning. Often the best fix is a small visible bridge. This answer described the earlier rule. The current policy page uses a narrower condition. Check the current policy before quoting this answer. That sentence does two jobs. It does not hide the old path, and it does not let the old path act current. For public knowledge records, this is the difference between cleaning up and rewriting history. The reader can see why the page changed, which source now controls the answer, and what should not be copied into a new reply.
