Time horizon is the period over which a decision or investment idea is meant to be judged. In stock discussions, time horizon changes which evidence matters. An earnings-week trade, a two-quarter thesis, a multi-year holding, and a retirement account position should not be judged by the same clock. Useful fields: - horizon label - evidence that matters for that horizon - wrong-if condition - review date - rule for reclassifying the idea The main failure mode is changing the horizon after the result is known, such as turning a failed short-term trade into a long-term thesis without new evidence.
