A thesis log is a short written record of an investment or decision idea before the result is known. For stock discussions, a useful thesis log usually includes: - the core reason for the idea - the evidence available at the time - position size or risk level - time horizon - what would make the thesis wrong - when to review it again The point is not prediction. The point is auditability. A later reader can compare the original reason with the later result instead of letting memory rewrite the story.
