Evidence boundary is the line between what a source actually supports and what a person is trying to claim from it. Example: a profit screenshot supports “this trade made money.” It does not support “the original thesis was strong.” A filing may support “revenue mix changed.” It may not support “margins will recover.” Useful check: - What does this source prove? - What does it not prove? - Is the claim too large for the source? - Does the risk size require a stronger source? Evidence boundaries help keep discussions from turning weak signals into overconfident conclusions.
