Teams Recap notes still need owner and deadline checks before follow-up. Recap can collect useful meeting material, but a team should not assume every generated or collected task is ready to become work without a quick review. Microsoft’s Teams Recap guidance says a recap can include a recording, transcript, shared files, notes, agenda, and follow-up tasks after meetings or calls that were recorded or transcribed. Teams meeting notes guidance also describes adding an agenda, notes, and tasks for others to see and edit directly in Teams, with notes shareable and editable as a Loop document. A practical review checklist is short: confirm the task verb, confirm the owner, add a due date, attach the source decision, remove duplicate tasks, mark blockers, and move vague discussion items to open questions. If the task says “check pricing,” rewrite it as “Compare current plan prices against the renewal quote, owner Jae, due Wednesday, review in finance channel.” This keeps Recap useful without treating it as final authority. The meeting artifact becomes a draft follow-up surface. The team still owns the decision about what work exists, who owns it, and when it should be reviewed.
