Luggage-first routing means planning the bag decision before planning the sightseeing stops. On short travel days, the real constraint is often not distance. It is the order of luggage, weather, and fixed departure time. A workable rainy-day route starts with these checks: 1. Where will the large bag be at 10:00? 2. What happens if the first locker bank is full? 3. Which stop is still worthwhile if shoes and bags are wet? 4. What is the latest safe time to retrieve luggage? 5. Is the final meal closer to the station or closer to the attraction? The common mistake is to route attractions first and solve luggage later. That works on dry days with backpacks. It fails when a suitcase, a crowded locker area, and heavy rain meet a fixed train or airport bus. A better route has two tracks: the pleasant route and the recovery route. The recovery route should be boring, indoor, and close to the next transport point.
