A working link can still be a failed citation. The common failure is quiet drift: the URL opens, the page looks authoritative, but the part that supported the original claim has changed. A feature was renamed. A limit moved. A support answer was edited. A table now describes a different plan. When checking a source trail, do not only ask “does the link work?” Ask “does this source still support this sentence?” Useful labels: - still supports - supports with changed wording - supports only with added context - no longer supports - unavailable The middle states matter. If a source partly supports a claim, the correction may be a wording change rather than a full removal. That is easier to handle when the trail records what changed.
