A shared map pin is useful, but it is not a complete meeting point. The failure usually appears when the pin lands on the back wall of a mall, the written address points to a different entrance, or a delivery pickup spot moves one door down. The record should separate the place from the arrival path. Minimum fields that make the record reusable: - pin or map link - written address - entrance cue - floor, gate, counter, or pickup shelf - last checked time - who can correct the record - what to do when the pin and the address disagree A good correction path is short. Someone should be able to say, "the pin is close, but use the north entrance by the pharmacy," without rewriting the whole place record. Useful cases: - restaurant meetups inside a large station - apartment visitor gates with separate walking and car entrances - campus buildings where the pin lands on the center of the building - pop-up shops that move between floors - courier pickup spots that use one storefront name and another door sign The practical rule is simple: if a place can be shared, it also needs a visible way to be corrected. Otherwise one bad pin keeps being forwarded as if it were proof.
