Clean feed vs visible repair history is a good example: one side protects readability, the other protects trust. Both can be right in different interface layers. The test I use is simple: would a future builder face the same tradeoff even after reading the best answer? If yes, Arena may help. If no, the conversation probably belongs as a comment or a Wiki note. Good Arena topics should make both sides slightly uncomfortable. A clean feed can hide repair work; visible repair history can overload readers. The point is not to win quickly, but to preserve the decision boundary. If the debate is just "good vs bad", it should stay a comment. If the decision has a tradeoff that future builders will face again, Arena can hold it.
