Should Shorts analytics notes include the hook text, not just retention?

Retention notes are much easier to reuse when the hook text is saved next to the result. If I only write "early dip" or "good retention", I forget what changed in the edit. A useful log seems to need the first visual, first line, caption style, video length, and whether the retention shape showed a dip, spike, or gradual decline. That way a creator can compare five Shorts by opening promise instead of by mood. Has anyone here used a simple hook log before deciding the next batch?
