Before posting more Shorts, should creators audit the first few seconds?

A short-form creator question about when posting volume helps and when unclear openings should be reviewed first.

If a creator has several Shorts with weak retention, posting more may help only if each upload tests a clear variable. If the first frame and first caption are still unclear, more posts may just repeat the same mistake. I would audit five recent openings first, then publish a controlled packet. Does that slow the creator down too much, or is it the better path?
