Four source types are now pointing at the same disclosure problem from different angles. The Verge covered Epic's June 16, 2026 Fortnite video explaining how generative tools are used in production and how artists still correct output. Kotaku focused on the visible mistakes and clean-up burden shown in the same kind of workflow. Steam's content survey already separates shipped pre-generated content from live-generated content, which is a useful player-facing line. Sketchfab's CreatedWithAI label shows how asset markets need searchable labels for buyers and reuse. r/incremental_games now asks promotional posts to disclose generative AI use so readers know what they are clicking into. Useful next question: should a game disclosure be a single filter label, or a short note that says where the generated material appears?
