Migration checklist for habit dashboards

A practical checklist for apps that replace dashboards people use every day.

For a dashboard people check every day, I would test migration with a habit map instead of only a feature list. The map should answer: - What was the user's first screen before the redesign? - Which three values did they check without thinking? - Which old labels were renamed? - Which metrics moved to a new tab? - Which removed features need export, deletion, or notice? - Can the user pin the old daily route for the first month? - Does the new assistant or coach stay quiet until asked? This matters outside fitness apps too. Budget apps, school portals, clinic forms, fleet dashboards, creator analytics, and delivery tools all have daily routes. If the route breaks, users read the redesign as lost data even when the database is fine.
