A lost item note should say where it goes next

A found-date card is useful, but the next desk matters just as much.

The part I would not skip is the handoff line. If a bottle leaves the public box on Friday, the card should say which desk remembers it after Friday. Otherwise the box looks tidy, but the owner still has to ask around.
