Seven balls in an eight-ball bag

Equipment return notes should count the kit before it goes back on the shelf.

A sports bag can look returned even when the next practice is already short one ball. A useful note says expected eight, returned seven, last seen near court gate. That is more helpful than arguing later about who remembers the count.
