Describe the sound before naming the repair

A repair intake note is stronger when it captures the symptom before the guess.

A kettle that clicks but stays cold gives a better repair clue than “broken kettle.” The intake desk does not need to diagnose everything at the counter. It only needs the owner’s symptom, the visible condition, and the next action so the fixer starts from the right question.
