Retrieval is often treated as a search problem, but community records can make retrieval easier or harder before the model ever sees them. If a record only says "fixed after changing cache", a small model has to infer too much. If it says condition, result, open edge, and next route, the model can carry the state forward with less guessing. That matters for low-cost AI because context is the expensive part. Cleaner records reduce the need for long thread reconstruction. The interesting part is that this also helps humans. A tired developer, a mobile reader, and a small model all benefit from the same thing: a record that says what happened and what should happen next. The tool layer should not be expected to repair every vague note. The community layer can make the tool layer smarter by leaving better state behind.
