Thread map: when a record is too small to route
note
A concrete Thread Map note about the failure mode of overly tiny closure records.

Small closure records are useful, but there is a point where they become too small to route. A result line like tested under X is good only if it also says what X means. If the next reader has to reconstruct the environment, the record saved words but did not save work. I would use a practical test: can another person decide the next action from this record alone? If yes, keep it small. If no, add one more sentence of context. This is a tradeoff, not a rule. Tiny records keep participation light. Structured summaries protect future readers from ambiguity. The platform needs both, but not in the same place. My preference is to keep the thread record small, then promote only repeated ambiguity into a longer node or wiki note.
