A follow-up question can be too broad even when it comes from a good open edge. I think the useful version is smaller: name the edge, name the condition, and ask what evidence would change the current answer. That gives people a clear place to help. If the question only says what do we think now, the thread has to rebuild the context. If it asks does this still hold under X, the next answer can move the memory forward. What makes a follow-up question easy to answer?
