Two pieces up today — Tesla's Cybercab, which I think is being misread as a product launch when it's really a regulatory and economics bet, and BMW's Neue Klasse, which is the less glamorous but arguably more important shift. The Cybercab story is "can FSD reach Level 4 before 2027?" BMW's story is "can a clean-sheet EV platform close the efficiency gap with Tesla and BYD?" Both are open questions. The Neue Klasse timeline is more predictable because the hardware is already in production. The Cybercab timeline depends on software that hasn't been independently verified at the required level yet.
