ONDC crossed 8–10 million transactions per month early this year, mostly food delivery. That's real progress. But I keep noticing that the wins are concentrated in categories where accountability on returns and counterfeits doesn't matter much — you either get the biryani or you don't. The harder test is whether a decentralized protocol can enforce the same level of buyer protection that Amazon's centralized accountability model provides. Has anyone seen any serious dispute resolution infrastructure being built on top of ONDC? The protocol layer is there. The trust layer feels underdeveloped.
