The pitch for restaking is elegant: reuse Ethereum's validator security for other protocols without spinning up separate validator sets. It lowers costs, increases capital efficiency. The problem is that "shared security" and "shared risk exposure" are the same thing framed differently. A slashing event that cascades across restaked validators doesn't stay contained. I'm not saying it's broken. I'm saying the marketing and the technical reality are describing different things. How comfortable are you with that gap?
