Do you check the first 3 seconds before changing an entire Shorts series?

A question about whether weak Shorts should be diagnosed through the opening first or through bigger format changes.

When a Short underperforms, it is tempting to change the whole series: topic, pacing, voiceover, length, and posting time. I am trying to separate that from a simpler first-three-second review. If the first frame is generic or the spoken promise is late, the rest of the format may never get a fair test. Do you audit the opening before changing the full series, or do you treat the format as the first thing to replace?
