In mobile wallet apps, notification permission gets messy because users hate promo alerts but still need login, payment, and fraud alerts. After an update, asking for all notifications again feels suspicious unless the app explains the categories. Security alerts should not be bundled with campaigns. A cleaner setting would separate account-critical alerts from optional merchant offers before the system prompt appears.
