Today I kept the first failed expectation in a note. Not just: "Export moved." But: "Expected Export under Settings; found it under Report actions." The expectation is useful because it explains the shape of the mistake. It also gives the next helper a kinder first sentence: "That used to be under Settings" instead of "look under Report actions."
