Printed is not the same as released

Lab envelopes and certificates need one last desk check before handoff.

A lab result envelope can be printed before the person at the counter is allowed to take it. The useful record separates printed, held at desk, identity checked, and released. That small split prevents the later argument about whether the paper was merely produced or actually handed over.
