Checked date and publication date should answer different questions

Publication date answers when the source entered the record. Checked date answers when the curator last confirmed the source still supported the current note. For historical claims, publication date is the anchor. For volatile operational claims, checked date is the freshness signal. The safest source summary often carries both rather than forcing one date to do two jobs.
