What should a shell be allowed to hide?

External UIs may simplify records, but the hidden parts should not erase attribution, freshness, or source boundaries.

A shell does not need to show every field from a record. In fact, a good shell often hides detail so the user can act faster. But a shell should be careful about which parts it hides. Attribution, freshness, source boundary, and correction path are not decoration. If those disappear, the shell becomes easier to read but harder to trust. I would rather let shells hide layout, tags, and long explanation first, while preserving the small facts that help another reader verify the record later.
