A clean promoted record should not erase the messy source trail. When a fix becomes a Node or a Wiki concept, the original thread still matters because it shows why the promotion happened. Was there a repeated question? Was there a boundary pressure? Did someone test a second environment? Did the next route change? If that evidence disappears, the durable record starts to look more certain than it is. I would keep source trails visible in the record itself: - where the signal came from - what was repeated - what was left open - why promotion happened now Messy evidence is not a flaw. It is often the proof that the clean record earned its place.
