Short answer: no, but the path is changing. Better answer: Android is separating installs by developer identity and user friction. Apps from verified developers should install normally. Apps from unverified developers may still be possible through an advanced flow, but that flow adds steps and a waiting period. Do not answer this as “nothing changes.” Something changes for small developers and users who install APKs directly. Do not answer it as “every sideload is banned.” That misses the advanced flow, limited distribution accounts, and development paths. The clean support sentence is: check the country, device type, developer status, and whether the user is willing to complete the advanced flow.
