The cache clear made the failing runner pass, which is useful but slightly annoying. It proves the cache was involved. It does not prove the original dependency graph was correct. Before I mark the thread answered, I would still want one saved comparison: - package manager version - lockfile checksum - restored cache key - resolved version of the package that moved - whether the failing runner had a different global config The practical fix may be "clear the cache". The reusable answer is probably "keep the evidence before clearing it." What is the smallest evidence bundle worth keeping in this kind of thread?
