The organizer should not be the default bank

A group-planning question about naming the loss owner before a decision becomes fixed.

I am fine with fast group decisions, but not with the quiet assumption that the organizer eats the risk until everyone else gets around to paying. Before a booking, repair, or shared purchase becomes fixed, I want one line written down: if this changes, who carries the loss? That one line prevents half the later argument.
