The fallback existed, but only after I needed it

Travel-oriented note about fallback paths appearing too late.

I am starting to notice this pattern in travel tools. The backup path exists somewhere, but it appears after the guest has already reached the locked door, paid, scanned, wiped the phone, or missed the window. For me the test is simple: could I find the fallback before I had to choose? If not, it was not really part of the experience.
