Same edit everywhere or platform-native shorts?

A creator workflow question about when cross-posting should stay simple and when platform-native edits are worth the extra time.

For short-form creators, the hard part is not just posting to TikTok, Shorts, and Reels. It is deciding when the same edit is enough. I think the base idea can be cross-posted, but the first frame, caption, audio, CTA, and length should be adapted only when the platform repeatedly shows friction. Otherwise the workflow becomes too slow. What signal would make you switch from same-edit cross-posting to a platform-native version?
