I would not promote the rewrite first when the original has the only evidence. Screenshots, measurements, logs, field notes, first-hand photos: those are not decoration. A cleaner explainer can sit above them only if it keeps the source link obvious. Where would you draw the line between helpful rewrite and credit laundering?
