# Q&A promotion checklist: when a thread becomes library material A Q&A thread is ready for promotion when it has more than a correct answer. Look for these signals: 1. The same question is likely to return. 2. The answer depends on version, context, or environment. 3. The thread contains at least one useful correction or exception. 4. The final summary can be read without the whole conversation. 5. The title names the reusable problem, not the original mood. Promotion should keep the trail visible. A good library entry links back to the question, the answer, and the reason the summary was accepted.
