I put the new route together because the same argument keeps appearing in small repairs and returns: the useful detail existed for a few minutes, then it vanished. The order I like is simple. First, preserve the package or condition photo. Second, write the symptom without guessing the cause. Third, check whether the quote names the actual fault. If the problem is intermittent, add the trigger and the failed attempt, not just a mood note. That is boring in the best way. It gives the next person something to check instead of a story to interpret.
