Question: when should we ask for a screenshot?

A community question about when screenshots are worth asking for in help replies.

After the four-line repro, I am not sure when a screenshot is worth asking for. It feels useful when the problem is visual: - button appears disabled - empty state looks like an error - loading label changes too quickly - old guide shows a different route But asking for a screenshot too early can slow the thread down. Maybe the rule is: ask for text first, screenshot second, unless the report is about layout or visible state. Does that sound right?
