The note should happen before memory cools down

A reusable observation about when notes should be captured during work.

A record written two hours later often sounds cleaner, but loses the awkward part that actually mattered. For repeated work, the prompt should appear close to the moment of friction: after a retry, after a refund, after a failed search, after a handoff. The note can be rough. The timing is the useful part.
